15/12/2025, 22:50 T 1/482/133 - Memorial of Chas Lutwidge for paying of Civil Officers T 1/482/133 - Memorial of Chas Lutwidge for paying of Civil Officers - 1771 [noted as Received & Read June 6 1771] To the Right Honorable The Lords Commissnrs of His Majestys Treasury The Memorial of Chas Lutwidge Recr Genl of the Revenue in the Isle of Man Most humbly sheweth That a Doubt having arose, whether by virtue of his Majesty's Warr't of the 18 July last, your memorialist is empower'd & authorized to pay to the several Civil officers therein specified of the said Island, the Salarys agreeable to the directions of the said Warrant; or that in pursuance of the directions in the second clause of the Act of the 7th of his present Majesty, after the necessary Charges of Levying & Collecting are satisfy'd, the surplus shall be paid into the receipt of the Exchequer, to be afterwards issued from thence for the defraying the necessary expences of Government & administration of Justice there.
