The last Quarter's Abstract accompanys thyis which will show your Grace that
Trade is not so bad as your Grace may have apprehended; But the Affair of the
Seizure of the Dutch Ships for bringing Teas to this Isle is very disagreeable;I
have in a private manner procurred an extract of a Letter from Rotterdam concerning
the Affair which I here Inclose, as it has the Appearance
of a Matter your Grace should be appized of. There are likewise two Wherrys
taken laden with Goods, one out of Derbyhaven by a sloop of War and the other
out of Port Iron by a Cutter.
By this opportunity your Grace will Receive a Remittance of £900 of which
there is £140 10 6 British Tythe Money, which is all that we Received.
The Indemnification which your Grace [] to give the Purchasers of the Tythes
is now [] which I shall lay before the Council ...
