Provided neverthelefs, That it {hall and may be lawful to and for the faid Juftice, where he tigate Penalties, fhall fee Caufe, to mitigate and leflen any fuch Penalties as he (hall think fit, reafonable Cofts and Charges of the Officers and Informers,* as well in making the Difcovery as in profecuting the fame, being always allowed, over and above fuch Mitigation, and fo as fuch Mitigation do not reduce the Penalties . to lefs than a Moiety of the Penalties incurred, over and above the faid Cofts and Charges; any Thing contained herein to the contrary notwhhftanding. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the feveral Duties herein-before General of the £ranted (hall be paid from Time to Time into the Hands of the Receiver General for the Time being of Stamp-duties, the Duties on Stamped Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, who (ball keep a feparate and diftinft Account and by him paid of the feveral Rates and Duties, and pay the fame (the neceflary Charges of raifing, paying, and ac-intothe Exche- counting for the fame, being deduced) into the Receipt of the Exchequer, at fuch Time and in fuch ^^ Manner, as the Duties charged on Stamped Vellum, Parchment and Paper, are dirc&ed to be paid ; and Auditor to pro- that in the Office of the Auditor of the fame Receipt (ball be provided and kept a Book or Books, in enterinB°the Du- which all the Monies arifing from the faid feveral Rates and Duties, and paid into the faid Receipt as tiesfeparatefrom aforefaid, (hall be entered, feparate and apart from all other Monies paid or payable to his Majefty, his all others. Chargesand Expences as are directed to be paid and payable, purfuant to an Adi of this prefent Seffion of Parliament, intituled, An Afi for raifing a certain Sum of Money by way of Annuities', and for eftablijb-ing a Lottery.
