a Still larger, or of more Content, than is ſpecified in his Licence, or of keeping or working Two or more Stills, contrary to the foregoing Prohibition, then, and in that Caſe, the immediate Landlord or Proprietor of the Ground or Place upon which the ſaid Fraud has been committed, ſhall be obliged to make good the Penalty or Remainder thereof, after the Sale of the Offender's Goods in Manner before mentioned, reſerving to the ſaid Landlords due Relief againſt the Perſons and Proper­ties of their ſaid offending Tenants, in the ſame Manner as is herein-before provided for Relief of the Heritors of Pariſhes againſt unlicenſed and fraudulent Diſtillers within their Bounds.

L. And be it further enacted by the Authority afore­ſaid, That it ſhall be lawful to the ſaid Commiſſioners of Exciſe to withdraw all or any of the Licences granted by them at any Time they ſhall judge proper, or to refuſe to renew or continue the ſame: Providing, That if ſuch Licences ſhall be withdrawn during the Currency thereof, without any Fault or Offence proven upon the Holder thereof, he, ſhe, or they, ſhall be intitled to be repaid of a Proportion of the Monies advanced by them, correſ­pondent to the Time which may be unexpired at the No­tice of ſuch Licence being withdrawn; but the Still and Implements are, in that Caſe, to be given up, valued, and paid for, as above directed.

LI. And, in the laſt Place, for puniſhing the negligent, and encouraging the diligent Officers of Exciſe, within the Counties before deſcribed, be it enacted by the Autho­rity aforeſaid, That if any Officer ſhall diſcover and ſeize unlicenſed Stills, or Stills kept by Perſons licenſed of greater Content than Twenty Gallons, Engliſh Mea­ſure, or otherwiſe, as is before-mentioned, when the Heads are on as aforeſaid, or more than One Still in the Cuſ­tody of ſuch Perſon, or give Information of ſuch Frauds, ſo as the Offenders may be convicted thereof, ſuch Officer ſhall be intitled to a Reward of Ten Pounds Sterling for every Still ſo ſeized, or Information given, to be paid him with the next Salary due, and the Sum of Five Pounds ſhall be deducted out of the Salary of the Officer who
